The Brazilian Institute for Climate Adaptation – IBRAAC, through its founding member Paula Meireles Aguiar, participated on September 29, 2025, in Belo Horizonte / MG, in the LIDE Summit of Mines and Energy, which brought together leaders to discuss innovation and sustainability.
Panel I discussed the role of mining in the energy transition, sustainability, and governance of the industry. Panel II discussed the future of the Brazilian energy matrix from the perspective of innovation, technology, and investment.
The speakers discussed the paths of energy transition in Brazil, highlighting innovative solutions, new technologies, and investment opportunities that can strengthen the country's energy matrix in a sustainable and efficient manner.
The debate addressed the importance of governance, innovation and socio-environmental responsibility, reinforcing Minas Gerais' role as a benchmark in responsible mining.
The event was attended by business leaders (SAMARCO, Itaminas, CEMIG, among others), technical experts and authorities, such as Marília Carvalho, Secretary of the Environment of Minas Gerais and the Governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, who reinforced the state's commitment to sustainable development, innovation and competitiveness in the energy and mineral sector.
